July Fun Day - Swallows and Amazons
Days like this remind us of how lucky we are to live here. Beautiful weather with a gentle force 2 southerly breeze greeted us, Two Picos, two Darts and the safety boat set off just after 10am. The pirate Pico looked great and there was much singing of sea shanties! The route to the secret cove took just over an hour, the light winds mean't that a couple of boats had a short tow for the last 100yards as the tide had turned. We found a cave and a waterfall and also made plans for a future overnight camping expedition.
After a peaceful lunch we sailed back as the wind gently increased. Everyone had a great time.
